Sharron Angle addresses media for 3 minutes on taxes then bolts

Screen grab from earlier post

For the first time in over a month, Sharron “Obtuse” Angle decided to clue the press in to what she’s been up to… because, see, she’s a woman of the people! And who better to inform the people than the press?

And who better to duck the press than Obtuse Angle?

After more than a month dodging the press, Republican Senate nominee Sharron Angle on Wednesday invited reporters to an event intended to amplify her campaign message that lower taxes and less regulation are the only ways to spur economic recovery.

It was the first time since her primary victory that she had agreed to mingle with the media. [...]

Alas, Angle’s more media-friendly moment was over almost as soon as it began.

Probably because she had nothing to say.

Probably because she knew that if she did say anything, it would be, you know, recorded somehow and released.

Probably because she knows that if what she said were to be revealed, she’d lose.

However, it has been some time since she ran off at the mouth. I’m sure she had something pithy to offer after having been away for so long. Something of worth. Something constructive before offering a gracious thank you and making an eloquent, telegenic exit:

Angle delivered a three-minute speech on her desire to permanently repeal the estate tax. When invited by the final speaker to stay and answer a few questions, she turned on her heel and rushed out a back door with a small cadre of staff members.

Okay, let’s not be hasty. Clearly, she didn’t realize the reporters wanted more. Only a fool would ignore the media, yet again, knowing how idiotic and cowardly she’d look:

Reporters, including one who is six months pregnant, chased after her, calling out questions on unemployment benefits and other topics she has largely refused to address.

…Or she could continue to make an ass of herself.

She's acting just like Palin did during her VP run. The more you know about her policy the less you like her.

Just remember folks. Her refusal to ignore the local press and answer for her ignorant statements speaks volumes over the attack ads her staff puts out on Sen. Reid and will harm her. And I think most of the employed and unemployed workers of Nevada, with the exception of the rich who feel no pain in these hard times and the religious right who are brainwashed with fear, sees the train wreck she is. It is just a matter of people getting the vote out.

    Nobody's underestimating anything on TPC.

Please do not underestimate the power of white fright. There are people who believe so strongly that blacks and other minority is out to get them, that they will cheer her refusal to talk. Then they will just go and vote for her. There are more than you have any idea. They are mostly quiet, mostly married, mostly “Christian”. I am a Christian and sometimes I get the emails from people claiming to be “Christian” who have no idea that Jesus Christ and the first church established was a socialistic body.

Just think…but for the juxtaposition of two little letters Sharron COULD have been an “Angel.” Just two insignificant little letters…Instead of Acute Angel facing Harry Reid, we get an Obtuse Angle. Brought to you by the ever-insightful Tea Party!

    This was hilarious!

Just watching the workers stand…and stare (like, “What the hell?”) at her and her ilk
as they ran around the corner and out of the building.

OH…to have been a fly on the wall in that vehicle!

“Damned GOTCHA media…How dare they try and talk to me!”

    hehe

    Hey Elizabeth-

Not only was she picked by Tea Party types, but she was picked by the Republican Party in a primary election!! I can't decide who is more stupid, the Tea Party types or the Republicans.

Hey those tea party types, they sure know how to pick candidates, don't they? In Angle's case, maybe she shouldn't talk until the election is over? On the other hand, she's going down big time, so what the heck….she should say all the crazy things that come into her head.
