Via Taegan, it seems pretty clear cut to me.

A reader sends this excerpt from the Uniform Code of Military Justice:

“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

    as a court-matrial MAY direct.

    Ok, who may,
    and
    who shall bring??

That's even worse, but after reading about his background and history with the dead soldier named Tillman, I can see he has neither the honor nor the intelligence to lead.

There's been some chatter on the web that McChrystal did it on purpose because the strategy in A isn't working, and this way he won't get blamed. He gets fired, it all goes to shit, Obama gets blamed.

Our President is a very compassionate man. He will allow the good general to retire with full benifits and no charges or hard feelings.

Sadly, Obama has yet to prove he has the balls for a move like a courtmashall of this traitorous Gen McKlumsy. DG

What would he achieve behaving this way? For someone of his military ranking, its not just career suicide, but a criminal decision that does nothing for the mission of his country and the security of his troops.
