Via CNN just now:

Gen. Stanley McChrystal has submitted his resignation, Time magazine’s Joe Klein told CNN Monday, citing an unnamed source. CNN is working to confirm Klein’s information.

As far as I’m concerned, good riddance.
UPDATE from TIME:

Clarification from Joe Klein: Gen. McChrystal as “offered to resign” he has NOT submitted his resignation.

apparently he and his aid were drunk during this interview, I think American military is in jeopardy if this is what you have to offer. I thought we in Canada were screwed with Harper and our current military leadership.

I hope Obama learns from this and take some ownership and leadership over his presidency. You do not need to be a former soldier to lead your nation, especially in a democracy where civilian rule is above and beyond any military leadership.

Good luck with that pipe dream.

If he'd had any real integrity he'd of done it sooner. And I think Jack M. Boardman is right. McChrystal wants to run.

    Wouldn't trust Klein's sourcing though.

If true, it's a prelude to running for president as a republican…just sayin'
