First the Tea Patriot event ticket prices were cut in half, now they cost nothing. Zero. Zilch. Maybe OverPaid McFreebie needs a ghost speaker.

Via Chicago Media and Radio:

This may not come as a surprise to some, but the upcoming WIND-AM event with Sarah Palin speaking is not selling very well. The high-priced tickets for the May 12th event are still quite plentiful. For the rest of this week, WIND is just giving the tickets away. From 4:00pm-5:00pm, those looking for tickets need only show up at a given Merlin shop each day this week. The first 25 listeners to stop by the Merlin locations each day will receive a free pair of tickets to see Sarah Palin speak in Rosemont and a $30.00 gift certificate to be used towards service at a Merlin 200,000 Mile Shop. The special Merlin locations for the rest of this week are:

Tuesday: 8504 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, IL
Wednesday: 234 West Roosevelt Rd, Lombard, IL
Thursday: 400 Dundee Rd, Elgin, IL
Friday: 1911 S. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL

In a related note, by request of Sarah Palin's people, no Chicago press or media members are being easily allowed into the event. Those media outlets who wish to be there, will have to buy the expensive tickets themselves.

The desperation is palpable. The media must pop for their own pricey tickets, and the audience has to be enticed with free seats and gift certificates. Gee, that's not embarrassing at all.

As for giving away freebies, sounds a little like... socialism!

I'm willing to bet she still won't be able to fill the house.

OK, all you people in ChiTown--get those 25 free tickets and boo away!!

Obviously any investigative reporter worth his/her salt just showed up between 4:00pm-5:00pm at a "given Merlin shop each day" last week, and was one of "the first 25 listeners to stop by the Merlin locations each day will receive a free pair of tickets to see Sarah Palin speak..." How easy would it be to dress appropriately and go incognito?

Or are people at the Merlin's locations asking for proof of citizenship and political affiliation of anyone presenting themselves for a free ticket?

Recycling is good...but, come on now, same old "speeches" ...or more appropo "screeches" by some ol' gal from Alaska...you know Vern, what's her name? Oh, I think it's Pain...maybe Inpain, something like that.

I wish I was in Illinois >:-D Free tickets and that means room for people who don't particularly like her, to be there. Oh the micro-cam videos and blogging that will come of this. Should be fun!

She used to give away her own book. It must have gotten embarassing to have to keep buying them in bulk to keep it on the charts.
Then she sold them at conventions etc. So maybe everybody who wants Sarah already has enough of her?
    Lets hope.
She has to be turning main stream Christians off with her continued misuse of Biblical teachings And I would think other religions would be even more put off by her religious insanity.
She misquotes and mis used the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. That's going to peel of the history nuts from her supporters.
She lost the Americans With Disabilities Act people and their famlies and friends months ago.

I predict a slow but steady decline in her popularity and the US finally realizes what Alaskans did summer of 2008.

What is it they say about the Ebola Fever? It burns hot and extinguishes itself and its victims despite the best efforts of medical teams to intervene...

Does she think she is punishing the press by shunning them?
