Ex Teen Idol Corey Haim Has Died

If you had asked me before, I would have bet the other Corey would have gone first.

Actor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose, according to LAPD. He was 38.

Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.

Haim shot to fame in the 80s — when he co-starred in a number of films, including “The Lost Boys,” with Corey Feldman.

No, you don't have to watch it again. You are correct about those other elements. They do break up at a party and she does get drunk for large portions of the film (especially since she sees her ex with another girl). However, she does seem to no longer care for her ex-boyfriend (who was a jerk to begin with) when she recovers from being drunk and starts dating Corey Haim's character.

Did they break up at a party? Was she drunk for large portions of the film, at least? Damn it, I'm going to have to watch it again, aren't I?

Sorry, Clancy, but that was not the conclusion to the movie! The girl wasn't even shallow to begin with, but she was having problems with her boyfriend (who becomes her ex-boyfriend after a fight). I personally enjoyed that movie, but hey, to each his own.

You aren't missing anything. It's basically a almost G-rated version of your classic teen film in which a kid fails his driving test the afternoon before his date with the best looking girl at school. Instead of losing out on his one chance to score, he steals his grandpa's convertible Caddy and hilarity ensues. It's probably been twenty years or more since I've seen it, but I believe it turns out that he learns that the girl was shallow and vapid and not worth all the trouble (but could be–and likely am–wrong).

Both of the "Coreys" always annoyed the hell out of me. I think my sister had a crush on this one, though.

I'm about 10 years too old to even know what that movie is Clanc. I took my little brother to see The Goonies, so I guess they were more his era.

I was always a fan of "License to Drive" with Feldman and Heather Graham. . . okay, that's a lie.
